Rina Harris is the Vice President of Strategic Business Growth and Engagement at CenterPoint Energy. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing CenterPoint’s large customer organization for natural gas and electric, driving business and economic development, supporting existing transmission and critical customer needs, and developing revenue generation opportunities across the Texas service area. Prior to her current position, Rina served as Vice President of Business Development, where she was instrumental in identifying and pursuing business development and industrial load growth opportunities across the company’s electric business footprint. Additionally, she has served as Director of Energy Solutions for the Midwest, focusing on strategies to attract, grow, and retain the industrial customer base while helping customers achieve sustainable and efficient energy solutions. Rina joined CenterPoint Energy in 2009 and has held positions of increasing responsibility throughout her tenure. She has worked in various roles in market research and planning, business development, and delivering energy efficiency programs in Indiana, Minnesota, and Ohio. Under her leadership, the company has earned several industry accolades for its innovative energy efficiency program delivery. Rina currently serves on the board of directors for the Center for Houston’s Future, Evolve Houston, and the Economic Alliance Houston Port Region. She holds a bachelor’s degree in public science from Indiana University and a master’s degree in public affairs and management from Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis. Rina is also a proud graduate of the CenterPoint Energy Leadership Academy. |
