Hans Jacob is a Director of Renewable Business Development at Duke Energy. In this role, Hans is responsible for leading Energy Storage development activities in Duke Energy's Florida and Midwest service territories and also supports the evaluation and development of Long Duration Energy Storage technologies across all jurisdictions. Hans began his career with Duke Energy over 13 years ago after graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Hans has held prior roles in Duke Energy's Nuclear Power Generation and Transmission System Operations departments. Hans is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Florida and is certified by the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) as a system operator. He lives in Tampa with his wife and two children.
