EUCG Energy Information Workshop …Gateway to Improved Performance

Come join the EUCG members as they gather to discuss the most recent industry issues and look in finer detail at how the EUCG data serves to benchmark and provide targets for improved practices and performance in all areas of the plant. Safety & Health, Fossil, Hydroelectric, IT and Nuclear peers will join Transmission & Distribution delegates during 2 and ½ days of workshops geared toward discovering new gateways to improvements.

 NEW EUCG SAFETY & HEALTH FORUM MEETING IN ST. LOUIS – DON’T BE LEFT BEHIND…

WHY A SAFETY & HEALTH FORUM? The purpose of this EUCG Safety and Health Forum is to exchange information among electric utilities identifying and sharing best practices for improving industry S&H performance.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?  The S&H committee is for both safety professionals and line managers.  Safety professionals will spend time discussing their area of expertise and program specifics.  This committee also includes break-outs or joint sessions with the EUCG committees of Fossil, Hydro, Nuclear, T&D and IT to share lessons learned from significant events and discussion of emerging topics.

WHAT’S THE BENEFIT? The S&H Forum provides an excellent setting to discuss serious events that have occurred and share information in open dialog that may not be available through other means. The existing EUCG structure allows for comparisons of indicators and incidents from all facets of operations. 

The committee will use data comparison and define relevant benchmarking metrics and implement supplemental surveys with other EUCG members explore the best approach to address issues. Members share their historic data and discuss best practices.

COST? At this time there is not a fee additional to the workshop fees to attend the Safety & Health Forum. Next meetings are scheduled for St. Louis Missouri April 11-14, 2010, and Glendale Arizona September 26-29, 2010.
